Effects of Por2 overexpression on Gal83 localization. (A to D) Cells expressing Gal83-GFP and either overexpressing Por2-V5 or carrying the corresponding empty vector were grown to mid-log phase in selective SC medium containing 2% glucose (Glu) and then shifted to an otherwise identical medium containing 3% ethanol and 2% glycerol (EG) instead of glucose. The cells were imaged by differential interference contrast (DIC) microscopy. Nuclei were stained with DAPI. Scale bars, 5 μm.
