The Internet of Medical Things is characterized by wearable sensors transmitting data wirelessly to a monitor that can be a smartphone and from there the data are sent to the cloud. Data on the cloud can be analyzed, stored, and transmitted back to the patient’s smartphone or computer as well as to a health care professional or a caregiver.
