Colon cancer cells (A) HT29(US) and (B) DLD-1 were treated with 100 nM Methotrexate or 10 μM Etoposide for 12 and 24 h. CAV1 mRNA levels were evaluated by quantitative RT-PCR analysis, using β-actin as an internal control. Values obtained by analysis of three independent experiments are shown for CAV1 mRNA following standardization to β-actin (mean ± SEM) and after normalizing to the values obtained for untreated (0 h) samples. Statistically significant differences compared with the controls (time 0) are indicated ***p ≤ 0.001, **p ≤ 0.01, *p ≤ 0.05.
