Bambuterol specifically blocks BChE in urinary bladder. Residual activities of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) were estimated in homogenates of rat urinary bladders after single IP injection of bambuterol at the dose of 0.2 mg/kg (six animals). Data are presented as mean ± SEM. Asterisk (*) indicates statistically significant difference (p < 0.05). AChE or BChE activity in homogenates of urinary bladders from control group (six animals) was taken as 100%.
