Calcium release is not transcriptionally regulated. Airway smooth muscle cells (ASMCs) were cocultured with BEAS-2B cells for 24 hours. mRNA was extracted to perform RT–quantitative PCR (qPCR) examining histamine receptor (H1R) (A), phospholipase C-β (PLCβ) (B), inositol trisphosphate receptor 1 (ITPR1) (C), sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+–ATPase (SERCA) (D), and cyclic ADP ribose hydrolase (CD38) (E).
