Q is the volumetric swelling ratio at equilibrium, Q* is the volumetric swelling ratio in the relaxed state before equilibrium and ρx is the crosslink density estimated using the swelling data as follows: ρx=1Mcv¯, where Mc and ν̄ are the average molecular weight between crosslinks and ν̄ is the specific volume of the polymer respectively.
