Iron deficiency influences mean, axial, and RD measures. Early life dietary iron status influences pig mean (MD), axial (AD), and radial (RD) diffusivity for the whole brain and right cortex. (A) A main effect of dietary treatment was observed for MD (P < 0.01), AD (P < 0.01), and RD (P < 0.01) in the whole brain. (B) A main effect of dietary treatment was observed for MD (P < 0.01), AD (P = 0.01), and RD (P < 0.001) in the right cortex. In all instances, diffusivity values were higher in ID pigs compared with CONT pigs.
