Beneficial traits related genes. The heat map represents the number of genes putatively involved in direct antagonism, phosphate solubilization, and nutrient facilitation. ACC deaminase (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase), an enzyme known to modulate ethylene levels in plants, is present in Burkholderia metallica strain A53 and Burkholderia territorii strain A63. 1,3-1,4-Beta-D-glucan 4-glucanohydrolase, cellulase, pectate lyase, xylanase, and endo-1,4-beta-xylanase A precursor identified in Bacillus pumilus strain 104 play roles in nutrient competition and fungal antagonism.
