Patients with HIV-Lipodystrophy have reduced levels of HAD mRNA (A) and Cytochrome c mRNA (B) in skeletal muscle, but no difference in citrate synthase mRNA (C), CPT-1 mRNA (D) and PGC-1 mRNA (E). HAD mRNA correlated negatively to the ceramide content (F). The levels of genes were calculated with GAPDH as a housekeeping gene. In the dot plots data for each subjects are given and the line represent means and SD. * P<0.05 and ***P<0.001 for healthy vs HIV-lipodystrophy patients.
