Lithium citrate decreases the association between p75^NTR and sortilin. E18 hippocampal neurons were cultured for 5 d and treated with vehicle or proNGF (3 ng/ml) for 30 min, with or without a 30-min pretreatment with 100 nM lithium citrate. Cells were lysed, immunoprecipitated with anti-p75^NTR, and probed with anti-sortilin. Blots were reprobed with anti-p75^NTR.
