Note:
Level 1 predictors were the target emotional episodes as identified by children. Episodes were dummy-coded such that the target emotional episode (the child self-reported episode that matched the FACS emotion category in each model; i.e., episodes where children said they were feeling joy in the joy FACS expression model) served as the reference group in all models. Each model contained five dummy-coded predictors corresponding to γ01, γ02, γ03, γ04, and γ05. Significant coefficients (p < .05) noted in bold. Marginally significant coefficients (p < .10) noted by †.
