SWCNT-triggered chemokine secretion is NF-κB-dependent. Pretreatment with the NF-κB inhibitor, Bay 11-7082 (10 µM) of HMDM exposed to 30 µg/mL SWCNTs or medium alone reduced the secretion of CCL3 (a) and completely blocked the secretion of CCL5 (b), by multi-plex assay.
