Plumbagin inhibits electron transport. ECC1, SKOV3 and OVCAR3 cells pre-incubated with plumbagin (2.5 μM) or vehicle control (DMSO) were monitored in Seahorse SF96 instrument for Oxygen Consumption Rate (OCR), basal and maximal respiration and ATP production. The concentrations of FCCP used for each cell line are as follows: ECC1 (0.25 µM), SKOV3 (0.10 µM), OVCAR3 (0.10 µM). Results shown are average from three biological replicates conducted with each cell line. p < 0.05. The oligomycin, FCCP, Rotenone and Antimycin treatment schedules used for all cells were identical to those used for ECC1.
