In-scanner task performance correlates with memory retention test performance. After performing four runs of the in-scanner configural working memory task (cWMT), 21 subjects performed an unexpected recognition test on 32 items: the 16 memorized cards (four from each cWMT run) and 16 previously unseen foils (four from each of the card decks). Both accuracy (a) and reaction time (b) correlated between tests. d’: d-prime accuracy score, RT: reaction time, in seconds.
