Consumption of high-salt diet (HSD) induced gut inflammation in RAG−/− mice but not in IL-17−/− mice. C57BL/6 wild type (WT), IL-17−/− and RAG−/− mice received either control diet (n = 3) or HSD (n = 3) for 3 weeks. For histological score, goblet cell depletion, muscular layer (erosion/ulceration) destruction, cellular infiltration, and edema were considered, each parameter received 0–3 in the score index.
