Influenza virus replication increases after specific inhibition of H3K79 methylation. A549 cells were plated alone or with Dot1L inhibitor (Dot1L In; 1 μM); after 48 h, they were infected with different strains at m.o.i. 10⁻³, the inhibitor was present throughout the infection in treated cells. Virus titer was determined by plaque assay on MDCK cells at indicated hpi. A549 cells were infected with PR8hv and WSN (A), or with CAL 04 and CAL 07 (B). Virus titer was determined by plaque assay on MDCK cells at indicated times post-infection. Student’s t test with Welch’s correction; 3 technical replicates of 3 independent experiments were performed.
