Siglec-E-deficient mice show enhanced growth of Salmonella Typhimurium following intravenous infection. (A) Wild-type (WT) and KO1 mice on a Balb/c background and (B) WT and KO1 on a C57BL/6J background and R126D mice were infected with S. Typhimurium M525P and liver and spleen CFU determined from groups of 4–8 mice at the indicated time points. Data in (A) show mean values ± 1 SD and data in (B) show values for individual mice.
