Antinociceptive effect of N alone and in combination in the tail flick test in rats. Tail flick latency in rats was recorded following treatment with different doses of N alone (2.5 and 5 mg/kg, i.p.) and in combination with A (1.25 N + 21 A, 2.5 N + 42 A, and 5 N + 84 A mg/kg, i.p.). Latency was assessed at 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75 min after drug administration. Data are expressed as the mean ± standard error of the mean, n=8–9 per group. *P<0.05 and **P<0.01 vs. N.S. control at the same time point.
