Mechanism of ST in PSO. (a) A V-shaped wedge is resected and the osteotomy gap is unrestricted and ST happens after sagittal movement of the osteotomy site during closure. (b) Illustration of the cage method. It involves inserting a cage large enough into the anterior of the osteotomy gap to restrict the sagittal movement of the osteotomy site.
