C and D, time-course experiments presenting the reaction products catalyzed by ΔC98-CsxA (C) and ΔN58-CsxA (D). The elongation reactions were primed with DP5, and samples were taken at indicated time points. Products were resolved by HPLC-AEC. Previous calibration of the column with individual DPs allowed the assignment of single peaks.
