Actein treatment alters expression of apoptosis-related proteins in A549 cells. A549 cells were treated with different doses of actein (0, 20 and 40 µM) and total proteins in each group were subjected to western blot analysis. Protein levels of Bcl-2 were decreased, while levels of Bax (mito), cl-caspase-3, −9, cyto c (cyto) were increased following actein treatment in a dose-dependent manner.
