Table 1. Top ten C12-specific and C8-specific thioesterases published to date.

Data was collected from Table S1 and sorted by dodecanoic acid (either saturated or unsaturated) and octanoic acid mole fractions in the product pool. WT compositions were provided as a reference. “Composition” refers to mole fraction of the corresponding FFA. Names match those provided in Table S1. The most C12-specific and C8-specific ‘TesA variants found in R1-R4 correspond to the third most C12-specific and tenth most C8-specific thioesterases identified to date respectively.
