After release of the coracohumeral ligament under the coracoid process, as well as both the anterior and posterior parts of the subscapularis, the subscapularis tendon is clearly observed until the medial margin of the coracoid process. The subscapularis tendon can move smoothly under the coracoid process. The posterior border of the coracoacromial ligament is observed after release of the coracohumeral ligament around the base of the coracoid process.
