The target genes chosen serve important immune functions including antigen presentation (MHC I-uka, MHC II-dab, CD4-1), membrane regulation and attack (C7 and IRGF1), clot formation (FGG), immune regulation and cell trafficking (LECT2 and CXCL11.8) and the ATPase activity of heat shock proteins (AHSAb1). Variances between groups were compared using the Fligner-Killeen test of homogeneity of variances (Conover et al. 1981).
