Notes: The unit of analysis is a dyad of researchers. We construct dyads by creating every possible pairwise combination of researchers attending on the same night (26,604 dyads). The dependent variable is Collaboration, an indicator variable for whether the pair appeared on any common pilot grant or concept award applications. The main variable of interest is Same room, which was randomized across pairs attending on the same night. All estimation is by OLS. Grouped dyadic standard errors in parentheses.
