Open circles and triangles represent bears captured in Alberta, Canada (N = 19). Closed circles and triangles represent bears captured or killed in Sweden (N = 64). Females < 3 years old were classified as immature whereas females ≥3 years old, which included solitary females (circles, N = 33) and all females with offspring (triangles, N = 25), were classified as adult.
