Apoptosis was measured using TUNEL and flow cytometry assays in VDBP-overexpressed H9C2 cells. (A) TUNEL (red channel) assay showed the apoptosis of H9C2 cells, and DAPI (blue channel) was used to locate the nuclei of the cells. Merged images indicate cells only stained by DAPI. (B) Annexin V/7-AAD double-staining assay was used to quantify apoptosis rates in H9C2 cells by flow cytometry at 0 h and 6 h after OGD/R.
