Figure 7

Thermal desorption spectra obtained after an electron exposure of 100 mC at E0 = 31 eV from a 15 layer film of MeCpPtMe3 condensed on a Ta substrate held at 105 K and covered by a threefold excess of H2O. The ratios m/z 18 and m/z 15 were recorded to monitor desorption of remaining H2O as well as possible formation of CH4. The m/z ratio 39 (C3H3+) is included as a characteristic signal of MeCpPtMe3 and of MeCpH that may possibly be released from the decomposed layer.
