Substrate specificity of rTf_MurK analyzed by TLC. Kinase reaction mixtures containing a sugar substrate as indicated were spotted immediately (0) and after incubation for 16 h at RT (16). MurNAc, GlcNAc, MurNAc-6P, and GlcNAc-6P served as standards. ATP remains near the spotting point and the reaction product ADP slightly moves away from this point.
