Effect of deoxyschizandrin on cell growth in human ovarian cancer cells: (A) Effect of deoxyschizandrin on cell viability in A2780 cells was measured using MTT assay. A2780 cells were seeded at concentration of 1.0 × 105 cells/well in a 96-well plate. Then, the cells were treated with the indicated concentration of deoxyschizandrin for 48 h. The values represent the mean ± SD of results from three independent experiments. * p < 0.05 vs. the control group; (B) Effect of deoxyschizandrin on cell growth in A2780 cells was determined by cell counting. Growing cells were treated with the indicated concentration of deoxyschizandrin and cisplatin for 1–4 days (● control, ■ 15 µM, ▲ 30 µM, ▼ 60 µM, ♦ cisplatin 20 µM). Cisplatin was used as a positive control. The data shown represent the mean ± SD of at least two independent experiments.
