Akt signaling pathway is involved in aloperine-mediated cellular apoptosis. (A) KMH-2 cells were incubated with aloperine and the expressions of Akt and phospho-Akt were determined using Western blot. (B) To confirm the impact of the Akt pathway regulation on aloperine-mediated cellular apoptosis, cells were transiently transfected with a constitutively active Akt plasmid, and the apoptotic markers were examined using Western blot after aloperine treatment. (C) The cellular phenomena of the cells in (B) were determined by microscopy (200×).
