Nestin protein expression was significantly upregulated in the SVZ of antivenom + HBO group than the antivenom group at 1 h after injection of Deinagkistrodon acutus venom. (a) The nestin immunohistochemistry in the SVZ of each group at 1 h after injection of snake venom. The nestin-positive expression was mainly seen in the cytoplasm of the NSC. Significant increase in the number of nestin-positive cell was noted in snake venomation group at 1 h after injection of the snake venom. The above phenomenon was more obvious in antivenom + HBO group than the antivenom group. (b) The histogram showed the IHC scores of (a).
