Antivenom with HBO significantly reduced serum MDA and increased serum SOD levels at 1 h after injection of the snake venom. (a) Serum SOD level lightly increased after injection of the snake venom and the phenomenon could be improved by the antivenom, which was more significant with the administration of antivenom + HBO especially within 5 h after envenomation. (b) The serum MDA level after envenomation. It showed the completely opposite tendency compared with the serum SOD levels. The antivenom with HBO administration showed more significant antioxidant effects within 5 h.
