Fractional shortening in the heart after TCE exposure. Chick embryos exposed to TCE or Benfluorex at stage 13 were evaluated at stage 19 or 20 for cardiac contraction percentage in the common ventricle. The data show a significant decrease in cardiac function in developing hearts exposed to TCE or Benfluorex compared to the control.
