Rosmarinic acid (RA) inhibits lung metastasis of CRC cells by activating AMPK. BALB/c mice were intravenously transplanted with 1 × 105 cells of CT26 cells into the tail vein. Then, the mice were divided into three groups (n = 7). RA (100 mg/kg) was administered by oral gavage once a day until sacrifice. CC (10 mg/kg) was injected every 3 days. (A) Lungs were stained with Bouin’s solution to compare the pattern of tumor nodule formation. (B,C) The number of tumor nodules (B) and lung weights (C). (D) The protein levels of phospho-AMPK were detected in lung tissues. (E) Body weights of experiment groups. The results are expressed as the mean ± SD. p < 0.05 indicates significant differences from the control group.
