Serological changes on antibiotic treatment in 564^+/+ mice. The 564^+/+ mice were maintained continuously on water supplemented with vancomycin, ampicillin, metronidazole, and neomycin (VAMN water). Serum samples were collected from 6- to 8-month-old VAMN-treated mice and quantified for levels of IgM and IgG2b (A) and anti-dsDNA and ANA (B). Comparisons were made with age-matched untreated 564^+/+ and B6 control mice. Each dot represents one animal. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way analysis of variance with Tukey's multiple comparison test. Data are expressed as represented as means ± SEM (A and B). ^∗∗∗∗P < 0.0001.
