Figure 4

Identification of cathepsin L. the sequence of cathepsin L from Dugesia tigrina is presented (a). A multiple sequence alignment comparing cathepsin L from D. tigrina , Schmidtea mediterranea and Hydra vulgaris using Clustal omega (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/Tools/msa/clustalo/) was performed. The high similarity between these three proteins is very obvious. An asterix stands for a conserved residues, a colon stands for highly similar residues and a period stands for a weakly similar residues [Colour figure can be viewed at wileyonlinelibrary.com]
