The surface coil is placed beneath the rat to receive amplified MR signals, and the pair of pumping loops is placed orthogonally to wirelessly power up the amplifier. (b) Phantom test arrangement with the WAND inserted in the center of a water tube placed above the surface coil. The distance separation between the WAND and the external surface coil is approximately 22mm.
