C23 improves survival after CLP. Mice subjected to CLP and treated with a single dose of vehicle or C23 at 2 h after CLP were observed for 10 days. Mice treated with vehicle had a 10-day survival of 55%, while mice treated with C23 had a significantly increased 10-day survival of 85%. n = 20 per group. *p < 0.05; Kaplan-Meier with log rank test.
