The Perisynaptic Astrocyte Projection model (PAPm). The PAP of an astrocyte is idealized as a cylinder with diamater (D) = 100 nm and length (L) = 1000 nm. The length is the distance between the membrane that contacts the PSD (side α) and the location of the Ca2+ stores (side β) according to the work by Patrushev et al. [26].
