Midgut and fat body-specific changes in the expression of HDACs and HATs in uninfected Bt-resistant G. mellonella larvae. Transcriptional activation of genes encoding HDAC 8, HDAC 8 iso, HDAC complex, HDAC sap18, HAT1, HAT type b and HAT tip60 in the fat body and midgut of uninfected resistant G. mellonella larvae relative to expression in the fat body and midgut of uninfected susceptible larvae. The 18S rRNA housekeeping gene was used for internal data normalization. Data are means of 3 independent experiments with standard deviations (* p < 0.005, *** p < 0.0005 – compared with fold expression in the midgut and fat body of susceptible line).
