Effects of selenium on cell viability and LDH activity in PK-15 cells. PK-15 cells were seeded in 96-well plates at a density of 5 × 10³ cells/well and cultured with selenium at various concentrations for 72 h. Cell viability (A) and LDH activity (B) were determined as described in the materials and methods. Data are presented as mean ± SE of three independent experiments. Significance compared with control (0 μM Se), *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01.
