*The estimate of prevalence of T1D in children in England is 187.7 per 100,000. Number of T1D patients was directly estimated from the population aged <16 years in NW London CCGs. This is because the diabetes prevalence model estimates for local authorities by Public Health England gave the prevalence estimates for population >16 years only so the prevalence estimates for population <16 years had to be derived separately.
