C and D, Uptake (C) and root-to-shoot translocation (D). Seedlings (6-d-old) of the lsi1 mutant and its wild type (cv Oochikara) were grown in a nutrient solution containing 0 μM, 0.3 μM, or 3 μM B. After 14 d, the plants were harvested and subjected to B determination by ICP-MS. Data are means ± sd (n = 3). Asterisk shows significant difference at P < 0.05 between wild type and mutant.
