The critical dose (D _CL) and the detection limit (D _DL) accounts for both the uncertainty of the zero-dose readings and of the dose–response fit. The traditional calculation of the minimum detectable dose (MDD), corresponding to three times the standard deviation of the zero-dose readings, is also presented. All doses are given in mGy
