One patient experienced a pulseless electrical activity cardiac arrest following indwelling pleural catheter insertion due to underlying cardiac disease but was successfully resuscitated without sequelae.
One patient died during surgery for a femoral fracture after a fall; 1 developed submassive pulmonary emboli; and 1 experienced severe chest pain requiring hospital admission.
