Dansameum extract reduced the formation of foam cells by regulating heme oxygenase-1 in ApoE knockout mice with high fat diet-fed. (a) ApoE knockout mice were fed a high fat diet and/or treated with dansameum extract for 12 weeks. Aortic tissues were fixed with 40% formalin. The tissues (TI: Tunica intima, TM: Tunica media, CON: Chow-fed, AE: High fat diet-fed, DT: High fat diet-fed and treated with dansameum extract) were immunostained with anti- heme oxygenase-1 antibody.
