The levels of key members of Akt/mTOR/S6K signaling were examined by western blot. As the results shown, p-AKT (S473), p-mTOR(S2448) and pS6K decreased after down regulation of PRDX1(left panel) or increase after overexpression of PRDX1(right panel). Optic density was quantified by Bandscan software (BioRad, Hercules, CA) and defined as the ratio of target protein relative to β-actin.
