(A and B) ectopic expression of Akt increased the proliferation and colony formation of U2-OS^shPRDX1, while down-regulation of Akt reduced cell proliferation and colony formation of SAOS-2^PRDX1. (C) 3 hours EdU labeling shows that overexpression of Akt in U2-OS^shPRDX1 restore cell proliferation. Moreover, downregulation of Akt abolished the proliferation enhancement caused by overexpression of PRDX-1 in SAOS-2^PRDX1 cells.
