Figure 6. In vivo systemic treatment with Mimic-1 inhibits colon cancer metastasis.

A colon cancer metastasis model was established via tail vein injection of metastatic colon cancer cells. Two weeks after establishing the metastasis, 40 μg of Mimic-1 was delivered by intravenous injection with treatment frequency of one injection every other day for two weeks. Our results show that Mimic-1 was able to inhibit colon cancer metastasis while negative control miRNA has no effect. Mice treated with Mimic-1 have no observed toxicity.
